The silver Shekel, minted in 28-27 at Tyre, is one of a hoard of 561 silver coins that were found during the excavations at Qumran. This adaptation features the side depicting the  head of the Phoenician god Melqarth, in his Hellenized form of Heracles. 

A sterling silver chain or black silicone cord in your choice of length are available for an additional fee.

This item comes with a certificate of authenticity from the Israel Museum, Jerusalem. Enclosed is a short description of its historical background in English and Hebrew.
