We are proud to present an exciting line of Artistic Judaica by Yair Emanuel.
The most important day in your life can be transformed into an unforgettable event for everyone present with this stunning chuppah (wedding canopy). The four edges feature a cheerful colorful Jerusalem scene, with the words Kol Chatan - Kol Kallah ("Voice of the Groom - Voice of the Bride") in Hebrew. In the center is a circular Jerusalem scene with the word Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) in Hebrew in the very middle. The motifs are outlined in gold or black and hand-painted on silk with unique colors using a brush. The fabric undergoes a fixation process to make it color-fast.
Artist Yair Emanuel, a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, lives and works in Jerusalem. Vivid and harmonious colors as well as a mixture of the old and the new characterize Emanuel's work, which is designed and crafted in his Jerusalem studio. The principal techniques utilized encompass painting on silk, hand-embroidery, raw-silk applique and painting on wood.
