This is the classic shofar that Jews in Yemen imported from Africa and blew on Rosh Hashanah for centuries, then brought with them to Israel. Much larger and more spiralled than standard European shofars, this imposing instrument makes a lasting impression!
From the mouth piece of the shofar until half way along, the shofar is polished. The other half of the shofar remains with its natural color and texture. |
