The richness of the 2005 Yarden Katzrin Chardonnay begins with its nose, which exhibits an aromatic blend of characters: ripe pears and apples, tropical fruits, hints of flowers, all layered with opulent oak. The intensity follows through in the flavor, which shows great concentration and leads to a long, satisfying finish. The 2005 Katzrin Chardonnay is ready to enjoy, though it should continue to improve with a couple of years of aging and should drink well for up to seven years following the harvest. We most enjoy Katztrin Chardonnay with richly flavored foods, such as a seafood risotto, grilled duck breasts or even pasta al Fredo.
