This Star of David is taken from a hamsa originally part of a synagogue lamp from 19th century Jerusalem.   In the center is the Hebrew letter Heh (symbolizing the Divine Name).  The style is a familiar decorative motif on Jewish ceremonial art from North Africa.

This item comes with a certificate of authenticity from the Israel Museum, Jerusalem. Enclosed is a short description of its historical background in English and Hebrew.
