After his eye-opening debut album from 2005 and a follow-up to that in 2007, Ofer Meiri, the man and the producer, returns in a new album.
The formula is well known: Meiri brought together a team of singers composed of local A-List. The production is polished off like a diamond, and features foreign-sounding songs in Hebrew. Like he does in all his work, Meiri tries to line up with what's happening overseas, and shake the dust off the recording studio in Tel-Aviv. He's known for his meticulous and pedantic style, and his finished product is always top of the line.
Whether it fits the listener's taste or not is another question, but as far as the "third" album is concerned, no one can argue that this is a grounded, clean production.
And how are the songs? There are ten new songs make up the album. The performance of Sakharov and Chetrit sound great, but the highlight of the album is the Danin, a young hitherto unknown singer, blasting two of the best tracks on the album.
