Eldad, A teacher from Jerusalem, decides to leave the country. At the last minute he changes his mind and checks into a cheap hotel in Tel-Aviv under a false identity. There, he meets Judy who works at the reception desk and believes him to be an Israeli emigrant who has just returned to Israel from the U.S. A romance develops between the two and he promises her that if she will marry him, she will get a Green card. Under another false identity, he works as an Arab worker at a construction site. All the while, a private investigator that his wife hired tries to find him.
