This beautiful havdalah set will add a touch of beauty to your Saturday night table. As the Sabbath departs, a touching ceremony, known as havdalah, takes place with wine, spices, and a candle. This set will be a great addition, as the wine is spilled and the candle drips, and we say goodbye to the Sabbath for a good week to come!
The entire set features a cheerfully colorful floral and foliate motif on a blue theme.
The words in the center of the plate read Hamavdil Ben Kodesh Lechol ("The One who separates between Holy and secular") in Hebrew. In the very center is a Star of David.
Each individual item is hand made with ceramic clay. Once complete it is placed in an oven at temp. 1000°C until hardened. Each piece is then hand painted using metallic and oxidized paint in order to keep its natural color.
Again it is returned to the oven at the same temperature and finished with fine glazing.
Each item from Armenian Ceramics is skillfully crafted from ceramic clay according to traditional methods in the Land of Israel. Once it is formed, each item is baked at a high heat (1000°C) until it hardens. It is then masterfully hand painted using metallic and oxidized paint, allowing it to maintain its natural vibrant colors. After, it is reheated and then coated with a fine layer of glazing. After this traditional process is completed, the final product is sure to become a treasured part of your home decor for many years to come!
