Limited edition original serigraph. Signed and numbered by the artist.
Size: 50cm x 35cm / 19.6" x 13.78"
This stunning serigraph combines two of the artist's most distinct features: art styled like stained glass windows, and Jerusalem. The city's famous domed rooftops are depicted in warm golden yellows beneath the word Yerushalayim - Jerusalem - and are offset beautifully by a bold blue sky. This is framed by small panels of Jerusalem-inspired imagery set on a rich black background, and decorated with patterns and Jewish symbols. It will make a brilliant and unusual addition to your home, or a stunning gift.
Israeli-born artist Victor Shrem trained as a ceramicist in Germany, but after several years working in pottery began creating the pieces he is most known for in the Jewish world: paintings. Using a combination of watercolor and oil paints, Shrem creates vivid Judaica and Jerusalem themed pieces which are stained-glass window-like in style and mesmerizing to behold. His work has been exhibited in many galleries around the world, and is found in several important private collections.
