Original Signed and Numbered Serigraph, Edition of 250
Size: 40cm x 40cm / 15.7" x 15.7"
This piece is entitled "Les Amoureux du Village" - the village lovers. Briss's abstract, neo-primitive style is evident in every aspect of this serigraph. It's warm colors and unique subject make it a wonderful addition to any living or work space.
Samy Briss was born to a Jewish family in Romania in 1930, where he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest before traversing Europe and settling in Israel in 1960. He now lives and works in Paris, painting fabulous and unusual pieces which are surrealist and neo-primitive in style, and nostalgic and symbolic to look at. His work has been displayed across the world in Israel, the USA, and in major European countries including Belgium, Holland, Germany, France and Switzerland.
