Limited edition original serigraph; signed and numbered by the artist
Size: 40cm x 30cm / 16" x 12"
Aptly entitled "Lovers", this piece shows a man and woman holding each other closely while floating through a moonlit sky. Clouds surround the amorous couple, and houses are visible beneath them. Raw and beautiful, this serigraph shows the artist's fascination with people as portrayed through abstract, neo-primitive styling. It will make a wonderful addition to any room in your home.
Samy Briss was born to a Jewish family in Romania in 1930, where he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest before traversing Europe and settling in Israel in 1960. He now lives and works in Paris, painting fabulous and unusual pieces which are surrealist and neo-primitive in style, and nostalgic and symbolic to look at. His work has been displayed across the world in Israel, the USA, and in major European countries including Belgium, Holland, Germany, France and Switzerland.
