Nurit Hirsh is one of Israel's leading songwriters. She has composed over one thousand songs, some of which have become mainstays in Israeli & Jewish culture.

This collection includes 44 of the best songs of Nurit Hirsh from every period of her career.

Among her biggest hits are "Bashana Haba'ah" familiar by Jews around the world and "Osse Shalom" which was composed to the words from the Kaddish prayer. This song has become an integral part of Jewish services around the world.

Nurit Hirsh represented the State of Israel in a number of international song festivals as a composer, arranger and conductor. She won prizes in Greece, Brazil, Chile, Japan, Portugal, Malta, Ireland and Yugoslavia.

In 1973, her song "Ei Sham" won fourth place in the Eurovision song contest in Luxemburg. In the 1978 Eurovision Nurit represented Israel with her song "A-Ba-Ni-Bi" and won first prize.
