Painted Brass

Size: 25.5cm x 20cm / 10" x 7.9"

This gorgeous adaptation on an antique brass menorah will make a sensational centerpiece to your Hanukkah celebrations. It has been inspired by an engraved brass hanukkiyah recovered in Larache, Morocco, and is believed to have been made in the late 19th or early 20th century. This menorah is made from a sheet of punctured, pierced and engraved brass, decorated with floral motifs, Stars of David, ornamental birds and flame-shaped cut-outs. It is topped with a fleur-de-lis style flower, presiding over the Hebrew words besiman tov - with a good sign. Unusual and beautiful, it will make a truly wonderful gift to someone who is passionate about Jewish history.

This menorah includes a set of nine clear glass holders which can be filled with oil. Standard pre-filled paraffin cups can also be used with this menorah. This beautifully packaged menorah also includes a historical explanation in English and Hebrew. It is available in a range of colors.

The Israel Museum, Jerusalem is among the world's most highly rated encyclopedic museums. It holds the biggest collection of ancient Israel and Bible Lands antiquities on the planet, and is home to groundbreaking archaeological discoveries such as the Dead Sea Scrolls. The museum creates replicas and adaptations of Jewish artifacts from around the world; these unusual pieces make unique and wonderful gifts.
