Brass

Size: 22cm x 29cm / 8.7" x 11.4"

This glowing brassy Hanukkah menorah will make a stunning addition to your Hanukkah celebrations. It is a replica of a menorah discovered in Salonika, Greece, where Jews settled as early as 140 BCE. It features a rich, swirling design, and a raised shamash holder high above the row of candle holders. The center is engraved with a Hebrew quote from the Book of Proverbs: ki new mitzvah vetorah or - because a commandment is a candle and the Torah is a light.

This menorah includes a certificate of authenticity of the Israel Museum, Jerusalem, together with an explanation of its historical background in English and Hebrew.

Appropriate for oil containers 2 cm / 0.8" in diameter.

The Israel Museum, Jerusalem is among the world's most highly rated encyclopedic museums. It holds the biggest collection of ancient Israel and Bible Lands antiquities on the planet, and is home to groundbreaking archaeological discoveries such as the Dead Sea Scrolls. The museum creates replicas and adaptations of Jewish and Israeli artifacts from around the world; these unusual pieces make unique and wonderful gifts.
