Between the songs, Chava recites sections of poetry which combine to tell a story about a mother talking to her child in his room until he finally falls asleep. Most of the lyrics on the album were written by children's author Adula (Sabina Messeg) as well as others, including Chava herself.
This is Chava Alberstein's 55th album, coming out a year after "Lemele," an album of Yiddish songs.
