925 Sterling Silver
Width: 2 cm / 0.8 "
This unique sterling silver ring is an exquisite work of art which features a beautiful Lion of Judah symbol, while the band is adorned with an intricate Western Wall (Kotel) theme, the famous vestige of the Holy Temple of Jerusalem, as well as a primary symbol of Jewish dreams and aspirations. A masterful blend of ancient tradition and modern style in one harmonious design!
The Biblical "Judah" was one of the 12 sons of Jacob and the head of the Tribe of Judah, which is traditionally symbolized by a lion. In Genesis, the patriarch Jacob gave that symbol to this tribe when he refers to his son Judah as a "young lion" (Genesis 49:9) when blessing him. The Lion of Judah has been used as a Jewish symbol ever since, and since Jerusalem was the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Judah, in 1950 it was included in the Emblem of Jerusalem.
A fabulous gift for yourself or someone special, young and old alike!
