Skillfully crafted and finely detailed, this plaque boasts a blue Hamsa set against a beautiful red background. A traditional Jewish symbol from North Africa and the Middle East, the hand-shaped Hamsa is thought to provide divine assistance and protect against the evil eye. In this particular work, the three middle fingers of the Hamsa are decorated with fish (a symbol for fertility and protection against the evil eye) while the palm is inscribed with the word "Shalom" ("Peace") as well as representation of the evil eye. Inside the evil eye are written Hebrew phrases of blessing: "LeMazal, Briut, Hatzlacha VeAhava" ("To Luck, Health, Success and Love").  A beautiful blend of traditional symbolism and contemporary Israeli design, you will love displaying this wall hanging in your home for many years to come.

Art In Clay is a family-run art studio in Jaffa-Tel Aviv, founded in 2008 by Israeli artists, Amir Rom and his wife Laurence, both graduates of the prestigious Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. Specializing in the production of handmade ceramics that bring together modern designs and ancient Jewish tradition, Art In Clay's work draws inspiration from the Land of Israel, the Bible and archaeological findings. Their work has earned them high regard and they were commissioned by the US Government to design special pieces in honor of the opening of the US Embassy in Jerusalem in May 2018.
