Entitled L'Histoire Eternelle - the eternal story - this piece shows a man and woman curled up tightly together; indeed, the oldest story in the book! Their warm embrace is mirrored by the warm colors surrounding them. This wonderful demonstration of eternal love would make a beautiful, symbolic addition to your home.
Samy Briss was born to a Jewish family in Romania in 1930, where he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest before traversing Europe and settling in Israel in 1960. He now lives and works in Paris, painting fabulous and unusual pieces which are surrealist and neo-primitive in style, and nostalgic and symbolic to look at. His work has been displayed across the world in Israel, the USA, and in major European countries including Belgium, Holland, Germany, France and Switzerland.
