This character-driven drama has been highly praised in Israel as well as in the worldwide festival circuit where it's made a very positive impression. Full of beautiful metaphoric imagery, you may need to see it twice to truly appreciate its depth.
Fidelman and his recently-deceased partner ran a furniture and antique restoration shop. Now that his partner, the business-savvy one (Fidelman is the one with the artistic restoration vision) is dead, the business is in very serious trouble. Fidelman's son is trying to sell the company out form under him in order to convert the space into an apartment building, but at the last moment, a young prodigy restorer comes to work at the shop and brings a measure of hope, as well as worry, with him.
This is a beautifully filmed movie and a complex story that will delight any refined audience.
