These beautiful sterling silver Tallit clips are adorned with two Lions of Judah, standing by a menorah. A beautiful and inspirational addition to the traditional worshipper's prayer shawl.
The Biblical "Judah" was one of the 12 sons of Jacob and the head of the Tribe of Judah, which is traditionally symbolized by a lion. In Genesis, the patriarch Jacob gave that symbol to this tribe when he refers to his son Judah as a "young lion" (Genesis 49:9) when blessing him. The Lion of Judah has been used as a Jewish symbol ever since, including the symbol of the First Zionist Congress held in Basel, Switzerland in 1897.
