This magnificent Hamsa pendant is made of two Hamsa hand designs, one is from silver, and the other from 9K gold. The delicate gold Hamsa is adorned with an exquisite turquoise gemstone while elegantly engraved in Hebrew with Ben Porat Yosef Alei Ayin (“Yosef is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine by a fountain" Genesis 49:22), a Biblical verse which was part of Jacob's blessing to his son Yosef. In Jewish tradition Yosef is considered righteous, and so it has become a custom to use his name as a virtue (segula) for protection and blessing. The silver Hamsa is beautifully inscribed in Hebrew with the Birkat HaKohanim (Priestly Blessing): "Hashem shall bless and and keep you, Hashem will make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you, Hashem will lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace" (Book of Numbers, 6:24-26).
