Safed Candles

In the rolling hills of the Galilee lies the spiritual mountain-top city of Tzfat or Safed, the birthplace of Kabbalah and home to many religious artists. One of the artisanal shops in the Artist Quarter include the Safed Candle Factory, which opened nearly 20 years ago. They originally began by making simple candles, handcrafting and dying them but their work expanded when they realized just how much could be made out of beeswax. Candle sculptures began to emerge, all handmade and incredibly detailed. This attracted visitors to their little factory shop and soon enough it became a can't-miss site in Tzfat. Safed Candle Factory candles are a bright new way to celebrate Shabbat and the holidays, and each type of candle comes in a great selection of colors and even shapes.

Shabbat Candles

Shabbat Candles

Shabbat candles can be anything like plain olive oil or wax, but why not make it extra beautiful! Use them for holidays or special occasions and let the colorful candles enhance your Shabbat. You might be a traditionalist and like white candles but if you want something bold choose some candles that represent a sunset or dusk. Many of these come as a set of 12 and come in different shades of pink, blue and green, marbled purple, and more, but there are also tall tapered candles to add to a candlestick gift. These turn rainbows into elegance, let you light up candles that look like a nighttime sky, or even an almost tie-dye look with these purple and blue candles. So many colors, so many styles, which will you use to start your Shabbat off right with?

❤︎ We love the blue and white set of 12 and these dipped taper candles in blue and purple.

Hanukkah Candles

Hanukkah Candles

Hanukkah is the Festival of Lights and the Safed Candle Factory has you covered, as each box of candles is set to last you until the end of the holiday. Give yourself the choice of choosing a different pattern every night with the rainbow box or get a couple of single colored boxes to share with family and friends. There are blue and white candles that evoke Israel, white candles for the traditionalist, red, pink, and orange candles that look like a continuation of the flame and purple, blue, and white drip candles that only add to the beauty of your Hanukkah menorah. This Hanukkah, let your menorah shine bright with Hanukkah candles from Israel.

❤︎ We love the multicolored candles and the Hanukkah candles in blue.

Havdalah Candles

Havdalah Candles

Havdalah is said at the end of Shabbat as a separation between the holy and the regular and this is done with wine, a multi-wicked candle, and spices. You can get a candle adorned with besamim (spices) but you can also get any of their traditional Havdalah candlesticks like this natural beeswax one or this multicolored braided one that comes with a bag of besamim.  Some of their more unique Havdalah candles include this folded one and this candle with a besamim ball in the middle, as well as their pyramid and pillar Havdalah candles that stand alone. Safed Candle Factory also has specialty Havdalah candles, perfect for the holidays! Enjoy a yellow etrog candle to end Sukkot with, or a pomegranate or apple candle for Rosh Hashanah. Safed Candle Factory Havdalah candles are really marvelous.

❤︎ We love the Havdalah pillar with besamim and the gold Jerusalem Havdalah candle.
