Treat your Shabbat or holiday table to this beautiful handmade challah board. This white ceramic design features a pomegranate decorative motif at its center surrounded by the opening verse (Hebrew) of the traditional Friday night prayer, Lecha Dodi. The Hebrew text overlays the complete text of the Shalom Aleichem song sung at the beginning of the Shabbat meal. On the right side, in large black Hebrew letters, are a variety of Hebrew blessings: Simcha (happiness), Ahava (love), Osher (joy), Mazal (luck), Bracha (blessing) and Briut (health).

A classic Jewish decorative motif, the pomegranate has been grown for thousands of years in the Mediterranean region, and is referenced throughout the Bible as one of the 7 species native to the Land of Israel. In addition, the pomegranate has some of the deepest and richest symbolism in Judaism as its many seeds symbolize the abundance of righteousness, prosperity and wisdom.

This item is a fabulous gift idea for a wedding, holiday, housewarming gift or any other special occasion!
