This amazing Star of David necklace features six additional stars surrounding a Lion of Judah symbol.
The Star of David, the premier Jewish symbol, has long been a popular decorative motif on all sorts of Judaica, jewelry and art, owing to its beautiful geometric symmetry as well as its deep and powerful symbolism.
The Biblical "Judah" was one of the 12 sons of Jacob and the head of the Tribe of Judah, which is traditionally symbolized by a lion. In Genesis, the patriarch Jacob gave that symbol to this tribe when he refers to his son Judah as a "young lion" (Genesis 49:9) when blessing him. The Lion of Judah has been used as a Jewish symbol ever since, including the symbol of the First Zionist Congress held in Basel, Switzerland in 1897.
Comes with a sterling silver or 24K gold plated chain in your choice of length.
This necklace is suitable for a man or woman.
