Menashe Kadishman was an Israeli painter and sculptor who won acclaim for his broad portfolio and eclectic style, and is best known for metallic sculptures and colorful sheep paintings. He trained with Israeli sculptors before moving to London, where he studied at several prestigious academies under renowned artists. Inspired by the kibbutz work of his youth, Kadishman’s most popular motif is brightly colored sheep’s faces. Kadishman’s works are on public display at galleries across the globe, including a large-scale installation at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem, Israel.
