Hand Painted Wood

Size: 5cm x 4cm x 2.5cm / 2" x 1.6" x 1"

Aromatic cloves included.

The beautiful ceremony marking the end of the Sabbath can be made more beautiful still with this gorgeous spice box filled with whole cloves!  The holes in the top let you enjoy the aroma without opening the box except to replace the cloves, or whatever other spice you choose to use.

It features a cheerful and colorful Jerusalem motif.  The design was hand-painted with a brush using acrylic colors and then lacquered.  Vivid and harmonious colors characterize the hand-painted wood.

As this piece is covered with layers of lacquer, the outside is totally functional and waterproof and may be hand-washed.

Israel’s most popular artist Yair Emanuel studied at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, and now lives and works in Jerusalem. He creates stunning Judaica and art from a range of media, ranging from hand-painted silk and hand-sewn embroidery to brightly painted wood and muted metals. Emanuel’s work is characterized by the unique combination of traditional Jewish motifs and modern design and technique. His pieces are vibrantly colored and vividly bright, and are sure to add sparkle and style to any room!
