The tzitzit are meant to remind a man of all of the mitzvot in the Torah, as it represents the 613 mitzvot (commandments):
Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them that they shall make for themselves fringes on the corners of their garments, throughout their generations, and that they shall affix a thread of sky-blue (wool) on the fringe of each corner. This shall be tzitzit (fringes) for you, and when you see it, you will remember all the commandments of G‑d to perform them, and you shall not wander after your hearts and after your eyes after which you are going astray. So that you shall remember and perform all My commandments, and you shall be holy to your G-d.
From humble beginnings in Tikochin, Poland in 1898, Talitnia has grown to be the world’s most renowned creator of quality tallitot. As Israel’s biggest tallit producer, Talitnia supplies the IDF and Chevra Kadisha (Jewish burial society) with tallitot. The family-run business combines ancient tradition with contemporary craftsmanship to produce a stunning variety of tallitot, including traditional striped wool shawls and modern, colorful designs. The tallit is one of Judaism’s most recognized icons, and a Talitnia tallit is an appropriate way to mark a special milestone.
