Size: 19.5" x 27.5" / 50cm x 70cm

This gorgeous serigraph combines two classic Jewish themes common to Israeli art: the Seven Species, and Jerusalem. The top right corner shows large figs growing on a branch surrounded by fig leaves, on a pale teal background. The upper left panel shows a view of modern Jerusalem's impressive skyline, while the large bottom section portrays the famous Jaffa gate with David's iconic tower rising up behind it, surrounded by palm trees and other foliage. Three luscious, ripe figs sit in the foreground, with the Hebrew word te'ena - fig - spelled out next to them. Rich in symbolism and exceptionally beautiful, this serigraph would make a wonderful gift.

The Seven Species are a group of foods mentioned in the Torah as native to the land of Israel: wheat, barley, pomegranates, olives, dates, grapes and figs.
