Size: Â 16" x 70" / 40 cm x 177 cm
We are proud to present an exciting line of Artistic Judaica by Yair Emanuel.
This gorgeous tallit is made from woven polysilk . The stripes, atarah (yoke) and corners are composed of sections of appliquéd raw silk sewn onto the tallit, with embroidery forming a stylish pomegranate motif. The atara is also emboidered with the Hebrew words of the traditional blessing said over the wearing of the tallit. A seamless blend of ancient tradition and modern art.
A classic Jewish decorative motif, the pomegranate has been grown for thousands of years in the Mediterranean region, and is referenced throughout the Bible as one of the 7 species native to the Land of Israel. In addition, the pomegranate has some of the deepest and richest symbolism in Judaism as its many seeds symbolize the abundance of righteousness, prosperity and wisdom.
This tallit comes with a gorgeous matching tallit bag and kippa. Â
Artist Yair Emanuel , a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, lives and works in Jerusalem.  Vivid and harmonious colors as well as a mixture of the old and the new characterize Emanuel's work, which is designed and crafted in his Jerusalem studio. The principal techniques utilized encompass painting on silk, hand-embroidery, raw-silk appliqué and painting on wood.
